Ok so its fun fact time...

Regaining My Weight is technically the reason for this whole album!! During the time this song was being created Jay was coming off a bit of a break where he wasn't really releasing much music. Instead he was supporting fellow artists in his life and writing allot. This song was to be the lead single for his "return" so to speak BUT at that time the opportunity to make Walking With The Spaceman came about so that album was shelved. Now here we are years later getting the most personal release of Jay's career!!

This production is Beautifully simple. Preacha Tim creates such a smooth groove that it allows Jay's delivery to complement every nuance PERFECTLY. It has an infectious bassline and the organs give it just the right amount of reverence.
